Terms and Conditions – J. Stevens Painting

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accepting any painting proposal from J. Stevens Painting. By accepting our proposal and engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Payment Processing
We utilize third-party payment processors for your convenience. Please be advised that a processing fee of 3.5% will be applied to all credit card payments. You will be informed of the total amount, including this processing fee, prior to the transaction being finalized. Other forms of payment may be available; please inquire with us for more information.
2. Color Consultancy
While we strive to provide guidance and expertise in our painting services, J. Stevens Painting does not directly offer in-house color consultancy services. We can, however, refer you to independent professional color consultants who can provide specialized advice and recommendations tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Should you be interested in exploring this option, please let us know, and we would be happy to provide you with contact information for reputable color consultants in our network. Any fees or agreements for services provided by these referred consultants will be solely between you and the consultant.
3. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise specified in the written proposal, payment for services rendered by J. Stevens Painting is due in full upon completion of the agreed-upon painting work. An invoice will be provided outlining the services performed and the total amount due. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and debit card. Late payments may be subject to a late fee, interest charges, etc.
4. Alterations and Deviations
The price quoted in our proposal is based on the specific work outlined in the “Scope of Work” or “Specifications” section. Any alteration or deviation from these specifications requested by you that involves extra costs, including but not limited to changes in paint colors, additional preparation work, or expansion of the project scope, will only be executed upon your written order and will become an extra charge over and above the original estimate. We will provide you with a written change order detailing the additional work and associated costs for your approval before proceeding with any such alterations or deviations.
5. Contingencies
All agreements and our ability to perform the services outlined in our proposals are contingent upon circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, accidents, acts of God (such as severe weather events), material shortages, or delays caused by third parties. In the event of such contingencies, J. Stevens Painting will make reasonable efforts to communicate any potential delays and work with you to find a mutually agreeable solution. We shall not be held liable for any damages or losses incurred due to such unforeseen circumstances.
